Mandatory password for secure e-examinations

The last Moodle security update also brought a new function regarding e-exams. Secured e-examinations (via the Safe Exam Browser) must now be provided with a start password. This can be easily selected in the test settings.

Moodle security update

Last night, our Moodle instance was provided with the latest security update. A number of security gaps were closed.

Save your E-Exam

Before the exams is after the exams. And in between, there is time to back up the data – Moodle is only a temporary storage location.

Alternative tool for digital oral exams on 16 & 17/09/2022

As you have probably already read, the power system will be serviced on 09/16/2022 and our systems will not be available again until during 09/17/2022. A more exact date cannot be given.

It will not be possible to take electronic exams during this time.

For oral exams, the DFN service Pexip can be used. In this case, a room creation (incl. organizer PIN) on the DFNconf organizer portal before 16.09.2022 is mandatory!

Please inform your students that the access data (link, PIN) must be saved locally. During maintenance, the HWR mail services cannot be accessed!!!
