While entering the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/magazine\/article\/0,9171,1902833,00.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">smartphone era<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> new challenges and opportunities lay ahead for eTeachers and eLearners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Experts argue with <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WebOS\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">webOS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> everyone, who can build a website, will be able to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirstenwinkler.com\/smartphones-and-e-learning\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> an eLearning application (app). At the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www1.messe-berlin.de\/vip8_1\/website\/Internet\/Internet\/www.ifa-berlin\/englisch\/index.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">IFA 2010<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> the Fraunhofer ESK presented the E-Composer, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.checkpoint-elearning.de\/?aID=8270\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">enabling<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> individuals to create their own smartphone apps without any programming. There is high chance mobile devices will offer micro-manageable solutions to all kinds of problems, for which eLearning never came into mind. Individuals will become easily and more frequently engaged in eLearning, unawarely <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Learning_by_teaching\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">shifting<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> their roles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">There is already <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/elearning.schoolsict.net\/e-learning-at-school\/this-might-just-change-your-mind-about-using-smartphones-in-the-classroom\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">evidence<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">for the successful implementation of smartphones in education. In a study conducted by <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/dern.org.au\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Digital Education Research Network<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">\u201cninth grade students learning Mathemematics using Smartphones felt more successful in math and demonstrated higher levels of maths proficiency.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">This education mutation has also its technological and pedagogical challenges.
