In Germany, BSEL has an unparalleled teaching and research profile in the field of security management. The Department of Police and Security Management has over ten years of experience in providing specialised undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes focusing on security in both the public and private sectors, at national and international levels.   With 50 academic staff-members and almost 1,500 students, the faculty is one of the largest departments of its kind in Germany. Our academic staff are engaged in globally recognised research on public and private security and the department works closely with specialists, professionals and policy-makers from the government, the security industry and civil society.
