2 Reference to data subjects
According to Article 15 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR), there is a right to free information on whether personal data of the individual are processed and, if so, what personal data it is dealing with. provided that no statutory exception or higher interests of third parties are available, if the data is incomplete or incorrect, there is a right to a correction pursuant to Art. 16 EU GDPR.
Other data subjects are:
• Art. 17 EU-DSGVO: Deletion of personal data if there is an erasure reason stated there and no overriding reasons exist.
• Art. 18 EU-GDPR: limitation of the processing of personal data, if there is a reason stated there.
• Art. 20 EU-GDPR: Transfer of personal personal data to a provider if the processing takes place on the basis of a consent or on the basis of a contract.
• Art. 21 EU-GDPR: For reasons of a special personal situation, the right to object to an otherwise legal processing of personal data may exist.

4 Purpose of the processing of personal data
The website mim2019 as blog serves to inform about offers, services and documentation of the project mim2019 of the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Extensive information on mim2019 offerings and services is provided on this blog. The aim of MIM 2019 is to bring together researchers and practitioners in industrial engineering, manufacturing systems, operations research, supply chain management, and business informatics to present and discuss emerging topics in modern manufacturing modeling, management, and control. MIM’2019 will follow a rich tradition of previous IFAC conferences and symposia in Manufacturing and Logistics held in Germany. MIM’2019 will focus in particular on the most innovative methods proposed in the last few years in the context of digitalization, risk management, and resilience in production and logistics systems in the 21st century.
The website is used to inform all status groups of the Berlin School of Economics and Law and is publicly accessible also to external interested parties.
A collection of personal data is to ensure the operation of the Website and for registrations, publications etc.
It is not currently intended to use the data for purposes other than those mentioned. If the data should be used for other purposes in the future, we will inform you in advance.
The basis for the processing are the data protection basic regulation of the EU (EU-DSGVO), the federal data protection law, the state data protection law of the country Berlin and the students data regulation of the country Berlin.
5 Collection and use of personal data
For the use of our service, it is not necessary to register or provide personal information.
Editorial / administrative user administration:
The registration of a benefit is only required for administration or editorial processing of the website. The creation of the blog is done by the IT department The person responsible for the blog receives an administrative account from the IT department. With this account the creation of further administrative or editorial users is possible. These credentials are created and maintained by the person responsible for the blog’s remote user management. These necessary registration data are transmitted and stored by the responsible person (s). A transfer of data to third parties does not take place.
The following data is collected during the registration process.

• Password in encrypted form
• (university-related) e-mail address
• First given name
• Surname
The registration process will inform about the processing of this data. The legal basis for processing the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e DSGVO. Registration of the User (s) is required to provide the content and features of WordPress for the purpose of providing content.
In principle, we collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary for the provision of WordPress and its functions.
If the processing of personal data is required to perform a task assigned, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e DSGVO as legal basis. If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of the University of Economics and Law Berlin or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of those concerned do not prevail over the former interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO as legal basis for processing. Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as legal basis.
When using WordPress without plugins, the following data is collected:
• Connection data (e.g., IP address, date and time of access)
• Access data: Username, password in encrypted form, (university-related) e-mail address, first name, last name
• content data (e.g., uploaded files, Posts,
The temporary storage of the connection data, in particular the IP address, by the system is necessary to enable delivery of WordPress to the user’s computer. To do this, the IP address of the user (s) must be saved for the duration of the session. The legal basis for the temporary storage of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
The data (connection / access and types of content data) is also stored in log files. Storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of WordPress. We also use the function Fail2ban on the server side to block IP addresses. In addition, the data is used to ensure the security of our information technology systems. For these purposes, our legitimate interest in the processing of data according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
The data in the logfiles are deleted after 14 days. Access to the log files is restricted to administrators. The collection of data for the provision of WordPress and the storage of data in log files is essential for operation. Consequently, there is no possibility of contradiction on the part of the user.

6 Duration of storage of data / deletion periods

The personal data of the administrative or editorial users of the WordPress Blogs blog.hwr-berlin.de/mim2019 will be stored until the user is deleted, because no administrative or editorial access is required anymore.
This is the case if the person leaves the Berlin School of Economics and Law, the blog page is deactivated or the responsibilities Change.
7 Use of cookies
