Digital exam rooms
You have the opportunity to take e-exams in the HWR Berlin premises presented here using the university’s own hardware and software. Rooms with different capacities are available for this purpose at both the Schöneberg and Lichtenberg campuses.
In addition to the already known e-exam rooms, two more rooms are now available in Lichtenberg in House 6B, each with 44 seats. We are confident that these new rooms will optimize room distribution during the digital exams.
Usage scenarios
Another significant change that can have a major impact on the implementation of e-exams on site is the prioritization of e-exams over teaching in the e-exam rooms. We owe this new approach to all those who have already conducted their e-exams in person. We would like to thank you for your interest and personal commitment, which makes our cooperation so pleasant. Please note that this regulation does not apply to other PC rooms and IT labs.

Low barrier access
Barrier-free way to the rooms is given. The room door itself as well as toilet doors are not
self-opening.

Separate electric circuits
Charging facilities for students’ own devices. The examination computers are supplied with power via separate electric circuits.

Technical equipment
All-in-one computer
Compact all-in-one computers from Dell (OptiPlex 7480). With retractable webcam.
Silent mice
Low noise mice from Logitech (B110) with a noise reduction of 90% compared to conventional Logitech mice.
Protection
Depending on the e-exam setup, the computers can be secured by software. This means that students only have access to web content or software that is necessary for solving the tasks.
Whisper keyboards
Low noise keyboards of the Cherry brand (KC1000). Very quiet keys with durable key labeling.
System environment
Computer access as usual via the HWR account. Use of standard and special software. More information about software and operating system: here
⚠️ exception:
In rooms 6B 369 and 6B 371 there are stand-alone PCs with height-adjustable 27-inch monitors without silent mice.
